@Silverchild79,
"Bush made a new announcement today, "The "War on Cyclones", must be swift and just." Congress is expected to fold under pressure from the U.N. to stomp out this enemy of humanity in an effort to thwart future attempts at destroying mankinds precious resources."

@Silverchild79,
How high does it have to go before we start slowing down? I still see many Texans in their 4X4, V8 'cowboy cadillacs' doing 80-90 mph on highways in town (no cops in sight, ever). Where the frig are they going that requires so much speed, horsepower and mass in a vehicle!!!???!!!

@Silverchild79,
this whole "slowing down" concept is bullshit.

maybe in general it will work.

but me, in my car, i don't even go into 6th gear driving normally until 80mph. below 80 in 6th there's 0 power because i'm too low in the rpm band, and thus, i need like 3/4 throttle to even accelerate to 80mph whereas in 5th gear, 60-80 requires 10% throttle at best.

I get FAR better milaege in 6th gear at 80-90 than i do in 5th gear at 50-60.

politicians need to learn more about cars and transmission gear ratios, aerodynamics, and so on.
